1.) Niagara Falls

Victoria falls are about 1km wide and about 355ft (107 meters) though not being the tallest or widest waterfalls they are still called the largest in the whole world.

Jog falls are an impressive looking waterfall situated in Karnataka, India. They flow in a series of seemingly looking independent cascades, though they all come from the same river The Sharavathi River.

The height of these falls is impressively high at about 253 meters. It is surrounded by dense evergreen forest all around it. You can even see beautiful rainbows at the foot of the waterfall.

Best time to visit: If you want to see the waterfall into its full raging form then the time between June to September (monsoon) is the best.

 

6.) Yosemite Falls

No-person in this world can deny the impressive beauty and the majestic height of the Yosemite Falls.
These waterfalls are a part of California’s Yosemite National Park and are the main attraction in the park. They are about 2,425ft (740m) tall which makes them majestic and extremely beautiful.

The hiking trail to the Upper Yosemite falls might be a bit issue as it is very tiring but it is worth the amazing experience you feel once you reach the top.

The fall is divided into three sections and the Upper Yosemite fall is the tallest among them and also one of the tallest in the world.

7.) Havasu Falls

The color combination present near the Havasu Falls is a very beautiful sight to encounter. The orange & pink color of the rocks and the beautiful pool of the cerulean blue is incredibly beautiful.

The amazing blue color of the water is due to the calcium carbonate present in the water.

The Havasu Fall is one of the five waterfalls on the Havasupai Indian Reservation within the Grand Canyon. It is located in Arizona, US.

Thought the height of the fall is only 30 meters and not seemingly high but the view is still worth it. It even offers hiking & camping.

Best time to visit: The early spring and the late autumn is considered the best time to visit the Havasu falls because during this time the temperature is considered the best for hiking and even the weather conditions are pleasant for camping.

During the summer the weather is even better for camping but in order to avoid the heat you will have to start your hike early in the morning.

 

8.) Sutherland Falls

Situated at the South Island of New Zealand is the jaw dropping Sutherland Falls. It is still not clear if the Sutherland fall is the tallest waterfall in New Zealand or not. But the falls 1,904ft (580 meters) height is tall enough to impress many people.

The falls have also been the place for many hikers since 1890 and are still one of the favorite ones for many trekkers out there.

Sutherland falls is a part of Fiordland National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Area) in New Zealand and is situated in a beautiful and deep forest.

Best time to visit: The best time to visit the falls is during the rainy season. Many less experienced hikers will consider summer to be the best time to visit this beautiful waterfall.   

The tail to the Sutherland falls has also been given the title- “Finest Walk In The World” due to its pretty looking surroundings.

Angel falls is the highest singular waterfall in the world at a height of 3,212ft (979 meters). If you are looking forward to visit Venezuela then make sure to pay a visit to the Angel Falls.
